Ziggy & Ati

Ziggy Hadjipateras and Atalanti Mathiesen (Hadjipateras), co-founders of ZIGGATI surface pattern design studio. Turning photographic art into repeat patterns for your home or chosen spaces.

ZIGGATI began as a seed sewn by sisters and soulmates, Ziggy and Ati. Ziggy, the photographer. Ati, the marketeer, both creative. The brand was first imagined three years ago, with its debut collection lined up for launch in 2024. Ziggy with 30+ years in design and owner of handbag brand Ziggy Bespoke and Ati with 25+ years of marketing for various high-end brands, the plan was indestructible. Then the unthinkable happened. Ziggy — a powerhouse of creativity, optimism and strength — lost a brief and heartbreaking battle with breast cancer. With devastating sadness on 10th May, 2024 she left us. In the wake of that loss, ZIGGATI almost slipped away too…but love has a way of insisting. On Valentine’s Day 2025, with grief heavy in her chest and purpose flickering beneath it, Ati chose to water the seed. ZIGGATI was to be – the legacy, the tribute and a way of keeping Ziggy close. An act of resilience, belief and most of all remembrance in honor of such an immense creative talent.

ZIGGATI is more than décor — it’s a state of mind that stretches from the ground to the sky and everything in between. It’s about feeling the emotion and intensity of the natural world, dialed up (just a little). Rooted in nature yet slightly surreal, it invites you to see the world from another point of view. Each design begins as a real moment, then drifts somewhere dreamlike. This collection has started with cushions, but the vision stretches far beyond. These patterns are designed to live across surfaces, spaces and stories. With trusted partners and the use of exceptional sustainable materials and printing methods, ZIGGATI is building a collection made with intention — and made to last. A modern maximalist mood. A little gallery of joy made to be felt.

In loving memory of my dearest sister, my wingwoman and light of my life.
